Harmonie is a little girl that was born in the beginning of last century. I found her photo albums in a thrift store. And I made an art work series about her life, her hobbies, her travels. By assembling all kinds of elements together, I create forgotten and invented memories, and I give her and her photos a second life.

Harmonie is a little girl that was born in the beginning of last century. I found her photo albums in a thrift store. And I made an art work series about her life, her hobbies, her travels. By assembling all kinds of elements together, I create forgotten and invented memories, and I give her and her photos a second life.
These textile prayers are full of poetry and leave you with an impression of a story rather than an exact plot. The dialogue between the elements create an extra layer for you to travel through.
Vintage photos emanate memory, nostalgia, slowness and to me they are a great source of inspiration. Inspiration to slow down, to watch carefully, daydream. They help me to be more observative and be more connected with my intuition. The energy that emantes from a photograph has a lot to do with capturing a moment in time. So even if our mind is wandering in some past moment while looking at an old photographe, I feel I am here and now by taking it slow and observing and connecting with that past moment.
It gives me a feeling of connexion with everyone and everything.
